Mudbugs

Who digs all these holes? Was gold discovered and I missed the memo? In the soggy meadow a digger backs out of a hole without warning beeps.

In theory I've known for years that crawdads make the holes I spot near the lake at Oak Point. In practice I've not seen the alleged creatures. Now that I have, would I want to eat one? I'd have to be purdy darn hungry!

I could really get into making a crawdad costume or textile collage though! The dude is a smart dresser.

Enjoyed seeing your photos, so interesting. Are these the ones the build the mounds of mud?

Yes, these are the mud mound builders. Pretty amazing and seriously weird.
