High meadow yellow

Near the preserved prairie patch
A good breeze made for a splendid walk up the hill from the lake to Old Morton Vale Road. I was so focused on taking photos of yellow flowers and trying to pull the bird song from my slow auditory memory that I never saw it sneaking up on me. Poof and flash!

Mylar balloons are not bio-degradable, and should not be released or allowed to escape. The strings become entangled in fences or power lines creating eyesores. Worse, when they come down in water or on land they are litter, and potentially harm animals who confuse them with food.
