Tiny hitchhiker on my drive to Oak Point mid-morning. I thought it was a seed until it started walking around when I parked.
The tiny spider looked very fierce, but Oak Point Nature Preserve is looking more tame these days. A wide band of sod has been placed and watered alongside the paved trails. And the end of the lake that has suffered severe erosion during flooding has a stone makeover.
The giant stone steps make a nice place to gather at an appropriate social distance. The pickup truck beyond the steps is hauling non-potable water for spraying the sod.

Each fence post had a bluebird--six-feet of separation! |

Dusty rose beebalm (or maybe horsemint) on a gray morning. |

I love the neat packing job of the milkweed seeds in the pod. |
