Celebrating National Moth Week

Broke in my new walking shoes on the Rowlett Creek and Coralberry trails one hot lunch hour this week. I had barely started when I realized I'd crashed a Catocala moth game of hide and seek. Many trees had pairs of the camouflaged moths just waiting to taunt me with their flashes of underwing color and quick Cloak of Invisibility transformations.
